Welcome to Ballynahinch Primary School and Nursery!

Everyone in our School is "Happy to Learn" (our School Motto), including Cyril the Squirrel (our School Mascot). If you're lucky you might even see him in the grounds, which are pretty impressive. Our School is at the 'top of the hill' when you look up from the Dromore Road, overlooking the town and neighbouring the beautiful Montalto Estate.

For those who don't know the area, Ballynahinch is a moderately sized town located ten miles south of the City of Belfast. It neighbours the historical town of Downpatrick.  The town boasts its own Historic and Geographic wealth as it is set amongst the rolling Drumlins of County Down and was the scene of the famous Battle of Ballynahinch.

Ballynahinch Primary School has excellent community relations links with our friends in St Patrick's Primary.  Last year we even went on a residential trip to Dublin together.

We are a busy but friendly school, with lots going on. This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing regular updated information for both parents and pupils.

We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find any information you are looking for. Please feel free to leave comments in the Guestbook, or contact the school direct with any queries you may have.

Thank you for visiting!
