Celebrating 70 Years of Serving the Ballynahinch Community!

Our whole school family—pupils, parents, teaching & support staff, and the Board of Governors—came together for a special tree-planting event on our school grounds!

This meaningful celebration marks 70 years of the school's service of the community of Ballynahinch. Each tree planted symbolizes deep roots in the past and our commitment to growing a bright future for generations to come.

Each family and staff member of the wider school community planted a tree (almost 200 native trees) with the support of Mourne Heritage Trust.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in this memorable occasion!

Welcome

At Ballynahinch Primary School and Nursery Unit, we believe that happiness is the key to success. Our children work within a happy and caring environment where their individual needs are met and talents nurtured. Our aim is that all of our children enjoy success at primary school, so we set high expectations and provide support to ensure that every child achieves their potential.

As a visitor to our school, you will undoubtedly notice that the children are our best ambassadors. It is their school, and the adults who work here do so to enable them to be the best they can be.

We would be delighted for you to visit us, as this is truly the only way to get a real sense of what our school provides for its pupils. In the meantime, we hope that as you browse through our site that you get a glimpse of what we can offer for your child as they start their journey into education.
